Projects
In 2019 I invested all my musical creativity in the project "Aliyah - the miracle of Christmas". The Musical project was initiated by the Basel organization “Praise-Art” and carried out by a creative team of around 50 people from various local churches. I had the opportunity to creatively contribute to part of the songs and scenes. I am very grateful for this experience.
We composed, planned, arranged and rehearsed from spring to autumn. The musical was then performed on the first two Advent weekends in the Voltahalle in Basel. The reactions to the four performances were overwhelming. Overall, it was a great experience for everyone involved. You can find more information about the musical on the Praise-Art website.
In 2001 I made a little excursion into the world of dance music. I produced a dance version of the Applepie classic "The Century of Mr. Bean". Except for the vocal tracks, everything is new. Above all, my increasing interest in the production of electronic sounds found a field of activity here. Nevertheless, there is still a good pinch of "guitar taste" in it.
Since starting a family, building a house and starting a career were on the agenda after this work, I decided not to pursue this type of music-making any further. For the newer solo songs, however, these experiences have been extremely useful to me. The contrast between guitar music and the soundscape of electronic sounds has a certain charm. I wouldn't want to do without it today.
Century of Mr. Bean (Remix 2001)
m.t.week was a musical experiment in the world of grunge rock of the 90s. With "normal" instruments like vocals / rap / trumpet (B-Man), guitar (me), bass (Dirk) and drums (Sandro), the whole thing was supplemented by two violins (Ester and Katrin). This gave a special individuality to the musical style.
For two years, we had a lot of fun doing various live performances in Freiburg. The title "Rainforest" is immortalized on the CD "Faustgefühle", which was published in 1995 by the Faustgymnasium in Staufen. Our greatest success was the win of the weekly SWR3 rookies competition with the title "Wettessen".
We produced three tracks in the studio. Here we shared the creative work. The lyrics are written from B-Man and the music was written from myself. Click the audio items below to listen.
